I cannot and will not work in a library where books like Rainbow Boys by Alex Sanchez, Choke by Chuck Palahnuik, GLBTQ: The Survival Guide for Queer and Questioning Teens by Kelly Huegel, and Forever by Judy Blume (to name a few) are moved from the youth section to the parenting section of the library, so that they are no longer readily available to students. And I will most definitely not work in a library where these materials have been banned. Censorship has gotten entirely out of control.
Oh, and I will definitely not work in a library where Harry Potter is banned. That's just wrong. It took me awhile, but I had no choice but to hop on the bandwagon.
